Billboard & Mockups Prompts

Place your product on a Times Square screen, a roadside billboard or a shop window.

Mockups are the most-shared prompts online because the result looks expensive and takes seconds. The trick that makes them work is perspective: you have to tell the model where the camera is standing, or it renders a flat rectangle pasted onto a photo.

Times Square Screen

/timesquare

Your product on a huge illuminated screen in a busy city square at dusk.

Photograph of a large illuminated LED billboard in Times Square at dusk displaying the attached product image. Camera at street level looking up at roughly 30 degrees, wide 24mm lens showing surrounding buildings and other lit signage. Wet pavement reflecting the screen light. Blurred crowd in the foreground with motion blur. Blue hour sky, screen bright enough to cast light on nearby surfaces. Realistic photographic perspective with the billboard slightly angled, not flat to the camera.

Working with billboard & mockups prompts

  1. 1Crop your product image tight before uploading. On a billboard it is displayed small, so detail at the edges is wasted.
  2. 2Decide the camera position first — street level looking up, or across the road at eye level. That one decision changes the whole image.
  3. 3Paste the prompt and check the perspective before anything else. If the billboard looks like a flat rectangle, the angle clause was ignored — run it again.
  4. 4Keep any headline to four or five words. Long text is where image models produce broken letterforms.
  5. 5Dusk and night almost always beat daylight for screens, because a bright screen cannot compete with the sun and comes out washed out.

Mistakes that ruin billboard & mockups results

Forgetting the shadow

Anything that breaks out of the billboard frame must cast a shadow back onto it. Without that, the eye reads it instantly as a pasted overlay.

Daylight billboards

An LED screen in midday sun looks grey and dead. Dusk gives the screen something to glow against.

Long headlines

Every extra word raises the chance of garbled text. Four words is the safe ceiling.
