What you actually get
A sealed envelope
The card does not start as a card. It starts closed, and they have to open it — which is the moment the whole thing is built around.
Your timeline
Up to six moments in your own words: how you met, the turning point, today. This is the part a normal card has no room for.
Your reasons
Up to eight short lines. Specific ones land harder than long ones — "you laugh at your own jokes before you finish them" beats a paragraph.
A photo gallery
Four photos, laid out two by two. Four rather than six because at six each image has to be compressed enough that the gallery starts to look cheap.
One colour, whole theme
Pick an accent and the grounds, paper, text tones and highlights are all derived from it. No way to end up with an unreadable combination.
A confetti finish
A button at the end, because someone should get to press something.
Why only two at a time
Two themes from the Couple Goals pool are selectable at any moment, and they change every 24 hours. It keeps the choice small enough to actually make, and it means the set is worth coming back to.
Cards you have already made never change. A card renders the theme it was created with, permanently, whether or not that theme is in today’s rotation. A link you sent someone last week looks exactly as it did when you sent it.
Couple Goals is romantic by design, so it is offered for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s, proposals and weddings only. It will not appear on religious or national occasions — those have their own designs, and mixing the two would be careless.
Questions people ask
What makes a Premium theme different from a normal card?+
A normal card is one design with your name and message on it, and it takes about a minute to make. A Premium theme is a page the reader scrolls through: an envelope they open, a timeline of your moments, a list of reasons, a photo gallery and a finale. It takes about ten minutes because you are writing something, not filling a form.
Why are only two Premium themes available?+
Two themes from the Couple Goals pool are selectable at a time, and they rotate every 24 hours. Cards you have already made are never affected — a card always renders the theme it was created with, even after that theme leaves the rotation, so a link you shared never changes appearance.
How does the colour picker work?+
You choose one accent colour and everything else is derived from it — the dark grounds, the paper tone, the text shades and the highlights. There is deliberately no separate picker for background or text, because that is how people end up with unreadable cards. Whatever accent you choose, the contrast between text and background is held at a readable level.
Can I add music?+
You can pick from a small set of curated instrumental tracks. You cannot upload your own audio, and that is a deliberate limit rather than an oversight — hosting arbitrary uploads would burn through the audio bandwidth this site runs on within days.
Is Premium free?+
Yes, free for now, with no signup. It may become paid later as more themes are added, but anything you make while it is free stays free.
