How I Write These Guides
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Who writes the guides
The guides are published under my name, Wahab. I build and run ToolLabHQ on my own; more about me is on the About page.
What the guides are for
There are two kinds. Card-message guides help you work out what to write for a birthday, Eid, an apology or a wedding, with example messages for different people. Career guides cover resumes, ATS keyword checks and portfolios. Most guides point to one of the tools on this site, and say so openly.
How claims are checked
When a guide describes one of the tools on this site (what the card maker does, which files the ATS Checker accepts, what is stored and for how long), that description is checked against how the tool actually works. If a detail can't be confirmed, it is left out.
Guides don't include made-up statistics, testimonials or personal stories. Example messages and worked examples (like the sample job advert in the resume guide) are written as examples and labelled that way.
Facts that come from outside the site, such as official sleep guidance or the date of a holiday, are checked against a reliable source before a guide goes up.
Religious and cultural topics
Guides for Eid, Jumma, Diwali, Christmas and other occasions aim to be respectful and accurate, and to suggest wording that works whether or not the reader shares the faith. If something reads wrongly to you, please tell me and it will be corrected.
Dates and updates
Every guide shows the date it was first published. New guides carry the real date they were added and are never backdated.
When a guide is changed in a meaningful way, for example because a tool changed or a reader pointed out a mistake, it shows an "Updated" date next to the original one.
Use of AI
Which parts of the site use AI, and how the guides are written, is set out on the AI disclosure page.
Advertising
The site is meant to be paid for by display advertising. Ads don't decide what a guide says, no guide is paid for or sponsored, and the guides contain no affiliate links.
